Tofu Love Frogs gig on the Sunday night at Boom Town Fair

The southwest’s fun, arts and family festival that offers an array of fine music, theatre, comedy and art.

Boomtown will be held over Friday 7th to Sunday 9th August at a beautiful secret location, near Bristol UK.

Loads of cabaret / comedy, spoken word, a range of stages, lots of site art and many areas to explore with plenty of catering options, all the normal facilities you’d expect at a festival and a massive emphasis on eco-friendly initiatives.

Did you ever hear of the little guy who had a dream of turning what just started out as a birthday party, one band, a few merry mates chilling in a campfield, into a fledging festival for all to enjoy?: http://www.myspace.com/beardedtheory
Well you may not be aware that the second Bearded Theory festival took place last weekend nr Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Unfortunately because of a freaky storm, the main stage was destroyed and injuries were incurred, though luckily not very many and none to serious. However, because of this the organiser is facing massive expensive behind his ideals of what putting on a nonprofitable event would be about. Now he has many friends who are trying their best ways of helping Rich recover potentially a financial loss. Some of us dont have the means to do this and we are looking further across our websites and forums and reaching out to friends to help us put together a benefit gig in which we may be able to get some acts together, find a venue and put on an evening where by we may be able to recover some the festivals losses. So we hope that you will consider this post, what Rich means to his friends, and crew and show some support in return for what he had intended to put on for us, all in the name of charity. we are looking at running an auction whereby if artists were unable to perform then they may be able to donate signed merchandise, tickets etc. We have also had people asking if they can make cash donations so we have set up a paypay account daisy_chain111@hotmail.com so that all the kind folk can support in that way.
